- Pondering SA batting order. Prematurely. Predict huge clash of heads with KP is imminent. #
- Making the assumption that Ramps' generous offer is accepted, the list doesn't include Bell or poor old Colly, both surplus to requirements. #
- Twinkle-toes has also indicated he doesn't want to bat higher than three. Could he go down to five? Should KP move from four? What abt Cook? #
- Everything depends on whether you would use Trott as an opener and whether or not that would send KP off on a switch-hitting bender. #
- Glad it's not my job. But it might read Strauss, Cook, Trott, KP, Ramps, Prior, Broad then a few chuckers. #
- Or how about Strauss, Trott, Ramps, KP, Bopara, Prior etc? There's a full blog post in this somewhere… #
- @james277 Did you see his piece on TME? it is a weird old article. He's spoken to G Miller and made himself available. #
- @red_jedi The man has *made himself available* for SA – whether wisely or not – so this is about the future! #
- @red_jedi @james277 Here's the link: http://bit.ly/3k5BKm #
- @red_jedi Ah, my friend, you and I don't get to chat to Geoff Miller about our prospects, however much we would like to… #
- @red_jedi It's a first-person piece by MR in which he says he has spoken to Miller and put his name forward. How *can* it be out of context? #
- @red_jedi As to whether we would put any money on it… depends on Trott form, KP fitness and whether we could get decent odds
# - @red_jedi MR still a top county player. Less pressure than the Ashes. But it is a backward step and there may be better candidates. Say 40pc #
- @james277 Agree on Key and Yardy. Also, further down, L Wright. Just intrigued by the statement MR has made. #
- @nickwx Good point, Flowers and Strauss looking forward. But personally expecting to get murdered in SA. Point remains: this comes from him. #
- We stress: this is not us harking back misty-eyed to past glory. This is us intrigued. MR put himself forward *after* speaking to Miller. #
- If it was such a hopeless cause, would not Miller have said: "Give it a rest, son, your day is past"? #
- @riffgaffer Must admit that we were really surprised – thought this one was dead and buried after the Ashes. #
- @red_jedi ICertainly a possibility re G Miller. Or Ramps didn't properly hear what was said. We await developments. Yr trek sounds glorious! #
- @james277 Agree with your assessment. Thought this was dead and buried post-Ashes, surprised to see it come to life like this. #
- @aggerscricket @blowersh @cmjcricket Did you see @stephenfry extraordinary blog post about midair TMS over the Atlantic? http://bit.ly/iMPrG #
- RT @UK_Cricket_News Ramprakash out with broken thumb – BBC Sport http://bit.ly/hZtKn << A fairly major fly in the comeback ointment? #
